FORTHCOMING EVENTS FOR 2026
Saturday 29th August 2 pm... I hope everyone had a good week-end and is enjoying a mixture of the good weather , Englands World Cup progress and / or the Wimbledon finals
For your information and interest and to Get it written into your diaries and calendars .., our next social has now been planned and it is on the afternoon of Saturday 29th August with a 2 pm start ; the content will be a Family fortunes quiz ( courtesy of our friends at Hays travel ), a Name that song group and then rounded off with Bingo
Looking forward to seeing you if you can make it, and friends are welcome as usual ; and lets see if England can win through to the World Cup Final tonight - fingers and everything else crossed !
Sunday 9th August ... just as a reminder , the next tournament that the club are holding is the Stan Palmer Honda - Any combination Pairs .
Entry fee is £10 per team , and entries should be made to David Lee either by direct Whatsapp or email.
Presidents Day .. Sunday 19th July
A heads up for you to keep your diary free if possible , as our annual Presidents Day and fundraising event will take place next month and the outline format is that we will hold a Carliol league game between the A and B team at 11am , then follow this with the Social side of the day starting at 2 pm which will include :-
Bowls games of a Spider and also a Cyprus game ( Killer ) ; FA Cup challenge ; Indoor Sports competition ; the usual side activities followed by a Raffle and a Faith Tea-- contributions to both would be very much appreciated , along with your company

June Social .. Saturday 13th June 2pm
Apologies for chasing you , but just to make sure you know we have an ace up our sleeve for this weeks social ; but if you find this a bit quizzical then just think about it and .... Bingo , you have probably got it - the next Club Social is this Saturday , 13th at 2 pm and everyone is welcome for games , Tea and Biscuits and to put the world right while basking in the best of this Summer weather we are currently enjoying. Is the date of our next Social afternoon ... and will comprise of a mix of a very interactive card game of Chase the Ace followed by a quiz, bingo and raffle.
Admission remains at the princely sum of £3 - plus about 30p Card Gambling money ! - and your company and support would be very welcome.
Don't forget if you want to bring any family or friends along you are more than welcome
Sunday 10th May ... is the date of our annual Stan Palmer Honda Triples competition. This is a competition that has £600 in total on offer as prize money across the top four teams and attracts entries from across Carlisle and the local. district This tournament is capped at 24 teams
Saturday 2nd May 10 am - is the date of our next coffee morning , and as always everyone is welcome
Sunday 12th April - 10am start .. Bower cleaning and preparation day ; volunteers would be welcome to help prepare / tidy the bower and the grounds ahead of the new season, and also from this date the green will be available for roll-ups and practising; this is followed by
Sunday 19th April 1.30pm for a 2pm start ...Opening Day. We will have the usual spider and Cyprus ( Killer ) games and a raffle . As there will also be a faith tea could you please bring a contribution ?
Any final Annual subscriptions for membership and social membership can be paid on the day

Good morning , and Just a quick reminder that the Club are holding a Quiz and Bingo Social afternoon this Saturday at 2 pm where for just £3 admission ( less than a current scone at any of our 100 coffee shops in town ! ) you can leave the worlds madness behind on your tv and radio and join our company for an afternoon of quiz's and Bingo , and yes , it includes Tea and Biscuits !

With regard to the start of the outdoor season - 7 weeks on Sunday but who's counting - the 2026 Annual Fees are now due and can be paid to Laurence at the coffee morning at his "paying-in desk "at this weeks Coffee morning , so as well as a mornings company you can also have the added benefit of a guarantee of losing some winter weight as well ( but from your wallet / purse only I am afraid )
Saturday 28th February 6pm - The club are holding a fun "Race Night " as our next Social function , with Steve Wilson hosting and running the event on our behalf . If you would like to trot along you would be very welcome and the early signs are that the ownership of the runners are galloping off the shelves.
Odds are that it is going to be a good evening so please make a note in your diaries of the date

Saturday 6th December 2 pm - Christmas Social... the date of our Annual Christmas Social event is Saturday 6th December with a 2 pm start , and this years festivities centre around quiz's , competitions , our big Christmas raffle draw and a guest singer who comes highly recommended and is not to be missed. As in previous years there will be a Faith Tea and your contributions - but more appropriate , your presence and company - will be welcome
If anyone would like to come to the Social but are struggling for transport to and from the event , please let a member of the committee know and we will try our best to arrange a lift for you
Annual General Meeting Tuesday 18th November 7 pm .... the clubs Annual General Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday 18th November with a 7 pm start ; all members are invited to attend and an agenda will be issued in due course
Tickets for all of 2026 Socials will remain at the bargain price of £3 ... probably the only thing not going up this year because of inflation , Brexit or President Trump !
