SOCIAL EVENING FRIDAY 15th NOVEMBER

Friday night 15th November was entertainment night at Subscription Bowling Club and once again the members were in for a delightful and vibrant evening’s entertainment.

The evening began with a meal which included a selection of soups and sandwiches plus various additional snacks placed around the tables.

The featured group at this month’s event were Aardvark and the well-chosen songs and music encouraged everyone to join in and sing-along with the group. The ukuleles and banjo created a perfect backdrop to the harmonious singing and the amusing and well timed injections of a kazoo just added to the overall fun and enjoyment.

Behind the bar Rick Gallagher made sure the members were well supplied with alcohol and soft drinks.

Alan Strong thanked the group for coming to entertain the members and there was a commitment from them to return the following year, the members were enthusiastic in their appreciation. The next event is the forthcoming Christmas dinner which is on Saturday 14th December and tickets can be obtained from Lol Kelly and Maureen Charlton.

Laurie Inglis has placed a selection of photos on the notice board that were taken on the presentation night.

The decision last year to provide a box for donations to charity instead of members exchanging Christmas cards will again be in place this year.

Tickets for the Christmas social on Saturday 14th December will be on sale at the next coffee morning.
