JANUARY 2020 COFFEE MORNING

The coffee morning at Subscription Bowling Club was again well attended albeit with a few absentees, no doubt the result of lingering hangovers from the New Year celebrations.

Lady President Julia Whittle and past president Simon Kerridge welcomed the members into the New Year, there were many kisses handshakes and well wishers doing the rounds in the bower even though the mistletoe had long since been removed.

The morning got underway with the sale of coffee and a wonderful selection of homemade cakes and scones, and as usual there were many prizes on offer in the monthly raffle guaranteeing many winners around the tables, with the exception of the luckless Bob Banks.

The Joker draw gave Alan Davis the chance to find the Joker card, but unfortunately he failed with his choice.so the jackpot continues over to next months draw.

Tickets were on sale for the next social evening which is on Saturday 18th January, 7.00 pm, when  a Beetle Drive and Quiz will take place supper included and ticket price of £4.

Next Coffee Morning is on February 1st at 10.00 am, everyone is welcome.

Anyone who is not a member but is interested in bowls and would like to join a club, please come along and meet us, and if it is the social side that appeals to you then come along and meet likewise people who enjoy watching the game, the coffee mornings and our frequent and varied social events.
